Description

The Colt 4 Smoke Canister is a high-performance, self-contained smoke source designed for use with the Concept Colt 4 range. It utilises the same formulation as Smoke Fluid A, a pharmaceutical-grade glycerine and de-ionised water blend designed to produce an exceptionally persistent smoke. When used through the Colt 4 system, the fluid generates a fine aerosol of approximately 0.2–0.3μm CMD.

The canister itself is manufactured from a lacquered, one-piece aluminium body, eliminating welded seams and removing any associated contamination or structural integrity concerns. Each unit is fitted with a one-inch female threaded valve built in full compliance with EN 417:2012, ensuring safe connection, reliable flow, and compatibility with the Colt 4 canister interface.

Pressurised to approximately 90PSI using inert nitrogen (N2), the canister provides consistent, controlled discharge and dependable performance in field, training, industrial and defence applications. The sealed, pressurised design ensures long shelf life, leak resistance, and stable output even in demanding environments.

For military and government users, the Colt 4 Smoke Canister is fully NATO codified, carrying the NSN 1365-99-804-1753, ensuring traceability and compliance with defence supply chain standards.
