Description
The PO Fogger is a compact, battery powered security fog system engineered to protect cash-handling counters and service desks by rapidly filling the immediate area with dense fog when activated. By removing visibility at the point of attack, it helps deter theft, delay access, and protect staff and assets during an incident.
Built around a 12V DC platform with a 720W instant heater, the PO Fogger is designed to deliver a fast, high impact visual obscuration. Typical performance is based on up to 60 seconds output with a target consumption of ≥20 ml/min of concentrated security fog fluid, providing strong obscuration while keeping the system compact and serviceable.
Because the PO Fogger is battery powered by design, it can typically be deployed at a counter position without installing a new mains supply into a public facing cash handling area. That single design choice often delivers meaningful savings in both cost and disruption compared with conventional mains fed systems.

The battery is easily exchangeable and sized for two activations (with the second activation potentially at reduced output, depending on conditions and state of charge).
For installations requiring repeated use, the recommended approach is to exchange the depleted battery for a fully charged spare, allowing the machine to be returned to service immediately while the removed battery is recharged separately. Where available, the battery can also accept a current-limited maintenance/trickle charge from an alarm control panel of ≤200mA at 12V (10.8–13.0 VDC input). This can help maintain the battery or gradually recover charge between activations, but due to the 15Ah battery capacity it should not be considered the primary method of recharging after a significant discharge.
Integration is intentionally straightforward for security installers. The unit is designed to cooperate with standard intruder alarm panels using clean contact style connections, including:
- Set/Arm input (to arm the unit)
- Confirmed trigger input (to activate on confirmed alarm)
- Panic trigger input (to activate immediately on panic)
For monitoring and compliance, the PO Fogger provides alarm-panel-friendly relay outputs for Critical Fault, Battery Fault, Low Fluid, and Tamper. Outputs are based on SPDT relay contacts and can be configured as N/C or N/O (including software-invert options), making it easier to match site standards and reduce unnecessary power draw in some installation modes.
The enclosure is a small form factor steel housing with a mechanical tamper switch, suitable for discreet installation behind or beneath a counter. Internal monitoring covers practical “keep it ready” items such as battery voltage, calculated fluid level, thermal fuse, and heater electrical health, helping ensure the unit is in a known good state when it’s needed most.
Service and setup are designed to be technician friendly without adding front-panel complexity. A test button supports commissioning checks, and an RS485 programmer port allows parameter adjustments via a service tool (without requiring a display). The design also allows for future expansion, including a socket provision for an optional WT32-ETH01 IP module (UART / 3.3V) for later monitoring developments, plus an IP reset jumper to clear stored IP settings and fall back to DHCP mode where applicable.
The PO Fogger is suited to any environment where rapid, localised protection is required, such as retail counters, kiosks, reception desks, ticket offices, and back of counter cash points.
