Concept Smoke Systems Selected to Exhibit at the British Army’s Armoured Expo 2026

British Army’s 3rd (UK) Division Armoured Exposition 2026

Concept Smoke Systems was proud to be selected to attend and exhibit at the British Army’s 3rd (UK) Division Armoured Exposition 2026, showcasing our Fortis TSG tactical smoke generation system.

Held over two days on Salisbury Plain, the exhibition brought together military personnel, industry partners and allies to explore how the British Army’s warfighting Division is adapting to the demands of modern conflict.

Demonstrating the future of armoured warfare

The Armoured Expo provided an opportunity to see equipment in the context of the tasks soldiers face. Centred on the close battle, the event followed a “mission thread” approach: linking capabilities through an operational scenario to explain how they contribute to a wider mission.

A central theme was the relationship between protected armoured platforms, replaceable uncrewed systems and single use technologies. Live demonstrations showed soldiers, armoured vehicles and drones working together, illustrating how these capabilities can combine to support the Division’s future fighting force.

The Queen’s Royal Hussars and The Royal Dragoon Guards were among those representing the Royal Armoured Corps, demonstrating their abilities within this wider Divisional system.

Bringing military users and industry together

The exhibition also exists to strengthen the connection between those developing equipment and those who will use it. Alongside the demonstrations, industry workshops gave soldiers opportunities to try equipment in development and provide feedback to help refine it.

This practical exchange helps manufacturers understand operational requirements while giving military users a closer look at emerging capabilities. The Army’s emphasis was on an ongoing partnership, with collaboration continuing beyond the event itself. Further details are available in the British Army’s report on Armoured Expo 2026.

Showcasing the Fortis TSG

Concept attended with the Fortis TSG, our compact, high-output smoke system designed for rapid obscuration and realistic training environments.

Designed and built in the UK, the Fortis produces a dense, controllable screening cloud. Independent battery power, a wired operator handset and quick connect fuel and smoke oil lines support straightforward deployment in outdoor locations without access to mains electricity.

Watch the Fortis TSG in action

Smoke generation brings a practical dimension to military training. Reduced visibility changes how personnel navigate, communicate and maintain awareness of their surroundings, allowing exercises to move beyond clear weather, unobstructed conditions. The ability to introduce smoke where an exercise requires it gives training teams greater flexibility when creating these scenarios.

For Concept, exhibiting at Armoured Expo was an opportunity to present the Fortis in an environment focused on military requirements and the relationship between individual equipment and the wider mission. It also provided a valuable setting for discussing the role of portable smoke generation in training and obscuration.

We were delighted to be selected to participate and would like to thank the organisers, military personnel and industry partners who made the event possible, along with everyone who visited us.
