Large-Scale Evacuation GMFRS

Fire to be simulated at Manchester City ground in large-scale exercise.

A fire in a stand at Manchester City's ground will be staged this weekend to test how Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) and he club would respond to an emergency.

Synthetic smoke will be used and up to 100 volunteers will act as fans to make the setting as realistic as possible to test firefighters and the ground's staff and see how the would cope with a serious incident.

Station Manager Tony Bryan, from Blackley Fire Station, said: " We have never run anything like this at Manchester City before and it's very important to test our firefighters and their staff, how they react and the emergency procedures that are in place."

For this kind of exercise Concept would recommend the handheld Colt 4 Turbo smoke generator.  It is the most powerful handheld generator in it's class, designed to be compact, easy to use and extremely tough.  The resulting smoke is incredibly realistic, perfect for evacuation training and  BA training.
