Concept’s oil-based smoke fluids are developed and manufactured solely from high-purity, pharmaceutical-grade white mineral oils, these formulations are refined to ensure exceptionally low volatility, consistent viscosity, and outstanding thermal stability. Unlike conventional water-based smokes, the resulting effect from Concept’s oil-based formulations does not readily evaporate, enabling long-duration visibility while using significantly less chemical to achieve a given optical density.
Designed specifically for Concept’s oil-based systems (including the ViCount, Vulcan, Aviator and Artem ranges), these fluids are optimised to produce a fine, highly uniform particle size in the region of ~0.2 µm, ensuring excellent light-scattering characteristics and minimal deposition when compared to conventional “fog” particles.
Oil-based smoke offers extended hang-time, very low odour and excellent stability at elevated temperatures. Independent assessments by the UK Health & Safety Laboratory, NOHS, and other agencies have confirmed that Concept’s oil smokes remain safe, non-toxic and non-flammable – even in dense concentrations suitable for fire training.
Each batch undergoes comprehensive quality checks, including purity testing, viscosity verification, and thermal-stability assessment – ensuring reliable performance, repeatable result, and compatibility with Concept’s smoke generators.
