Concept Smoke Screen herald next gen prototype at Essen

Security Essen 2012 opens its doors to the security world next week. Celebrating the 20th fair organisers and exhibitors alike are expecting to once again smash previous attendance records.

Concept Smoke Screen, in collaboration with German partners CONCEPT SICURIT Group GmbH, have chosen this prestigious international stage to showcase their most recent product developments and give an insight into the future of security smoke.

ELM+ AND HP+

The Rapid Range has undergone a radical overhaul, with both the ELM (Entry Level Model) and the HP (High Powered) models bolstered by major improvements. Both units (ELM+ and HP+) now come with a steel heater block as standard, precision engineering at the very heart of the device. Steel offers a host of benefits: it can store more heat energy and therefore produce smoke for longer. Steel can be machined to much tighter tolerances during the manufacturing process ensuring reliability and uniform fluid phase change. This, in turn, helps generate smaller and more consistent particle size - 10 times smaller than particles produced using aluminium, for example. Smaller particle size means a drier smoke, guaranteeing no residue, and improved output. More smoke, longer activations and using less consumable.

Multi-nozzle functionality boosts production even further. The HP+ possesses a larger fluid compartment to boot, sporting a fluid bladder double the previous size. That is a LOT OF SMOKE.

The new units have been fitted with integrated battery back-up, as such they are capable of operating up to an hour after mains fail, in line with current standards.

NEW RANGE

Raising the bar higher still, Concept will be unveiling their new development project - the next generation of Smoke Screens. A work in progress with an estimated release of early 2013 this new look range will be smaller and more powerful. Environmental considerations have also been addressed with the introduction of the brand new power saving feature. Clients will have the option to put their Smoke Screen on standby mode during the day to reduce energy consumption.

A further feature is ease of access, prompted by feedback from installation engineers. Hinged side panels have been incorporated into the design to make basic maintenance easier.

All units within this series will be designed to International Standards (VdS 2525, EN 50131-8 and IEC 62642-8).

Sales Director Matt Gilmartin explains the importance of ongoing development, 'We want to offer our Smoke Screen solution to a wider audience. We have achieved this by creating a range of products to suit every size of property and every size of pocket.'

Concept Smoke Screen will be exhibiting from Gallery GA-129 (between halls 2 and 4) at Security Essen 2012 which runs from 25th to 28th September.
